I'm not receiving reminders.

Open the iPhone Settings app › Notifications › Every Hour and make sure notifications are allowed. In Every Hour, check Settings › Reminders: reminders must be on, not paused, and your schedule must include today. A Focus with the Every Hour filter set to pause will also hold reminders.

Can I show the verse on my Lock Screen?

Yes: Settings › Notifications › Lock Screen › Show Scripture. Verses tied to areas you've marked as struggles are never shown outside the app.

How do I move my reflections to a new iPhone?

Keep “Include in iPhone Backups” on, then restore your new iPhone from a backup. You can also export a file from Settings › Your Data.

Which Bible translation is used?

The World English Bible, Catholic edition: a modern English translation in the public domain that includes every book of the Catholic Bible, including Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and Maccabees.

Why do some prayers have a “Traditional wording” button?

Prayers from older prayer books are shown in modern English (“you” instead of “thee”). The button shows the original wording. The Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be keep the words most Catholics pray.

Where do the prayers come from?

From Scripture, the Church's liturgy, traditional Catholic prayer books, and the saints. Each prayer is labelled with its source, and uncertain authorship is stated as such. Nothing is written by AI.

I forgot to turn off App Lock and can't use Face ID.

App Lock falls back to your iPhone passcode.

Can I pray without opening the app?

Yes. Press and hold a reminder to read the hour's Scripture and prayer, then tap Amen. It counts just as if you had prayed in the app.

How does the Apple Watch app work?

Install Every Hour from the Watch app on your iPhone. Your reminders arrive on your wrist with the hour's verse; tap Amen there, or open the app on your watch to read and pray. Your iPhone and watch keep each other up to date, directly and with no server in between.

What are intentions?

A private list of the people and needs you are praying for, in Reflect › Intentions. Now and then an hour of prayer brings one of them to mind, and the evening examination includes them too. Mark one answered when you see God's answer. Intentions stay on your iPhone.
